Nowadays in our society it is too difficult to choose where to live. Some people prefer to live with their family and the others choose to live with their friends. They have to choose the best place to live, comparing advantages and disadvantages this or that living place. By selecting to live at home or with friends, they may encounter many problems such as money, safety and other life situations. Most of people who live with parents wear clean and ironed clothes, whereas those who live with friends usually do not (Urmila Devi Dasi). It is clear that the feeling and behavior are closely related among themselves, therefore people's behaviors differ depending on their living place(Leon Festinger, 1954). Continuing by I want to say that living with parents makes people much disciplined(Daniel J. Siegel, Tina Payne Bryson, 2011). Let's imagine, when you live with your parents you are always under the control and there is a curfew(James Lehman, MSW, 2007). You can't walk outside whole night and till the morning because you know that parents will be angry with you. But when you live with your friends you can go wherever you want and whenever you want. They don't have any rights to keep you at home, therefore you are able to have a lot of entertainments and feel yourself independent(Jim Morrison, 1965).
Progress at school and the attitude to study also the main reasons in choosing the living place. As a research made by Texas A&M University showed that most people who live with their family may have low concentration and poor academic performance at school, because of different problems besides the education(2010). For example they should look after little brother or sister, clean the house and some other occupations. It takes a lot of time, therefore they just have no time to be really prepared to the classes. But when they live alone or with friends there are no reasons to worry about something else except education(U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, 2010). They will be able to do their home work, without distracting on something else except study.
