A Life Mission
Choosing to pursue a career in nursing represents the commitment I have to live in
accordance with my values. A nursing career constitutes a large part of my overall mission in life. A mission that acquires more dimensions as I learn more of what nursing entails.
Experiences and Decisions
My experiences have taught me the wisdom of living my life in a manner that provides me with the things that give my life meaning. Experience has taught me to make decisions based upon my values.

My mission includes, learning the necessary skills and knowledge involved in becoming a professional nurse and then using these in a manner that will benefit those I come in contact with. I consider my role as a future nurse to include the welfare and care of individuals, families, communities, and society as a whole.
My values were the deciding factor in my decision to become a nurse. Nursing requires a commitment to non-injury of others, treating people with respect and kindness, it requires intelligence, creative thinking, and conscientiousness, all things I consider important in my life. Professional Goals
After graduating, I plan on gaining clinical experience in a manner that coincides with my value system and continuing my education to attain an advanced degree in nursing. I would like to use this to work towards improving healthcare facilities.
