In a perfect world everyone treats one another with respect and selfishness is a non-existent character trait. My life purpose is to proactively use my problem solving abilities to respectfully motivate and mentor others and take a selfless approach on life by putting the desires of others before that of my own. My Leadership point of view is driven by four main core values; respect, integrity, empowerment, and success.
My beliefs about leading and motivating people:
I believe that mutual respect for each other is paramount at building any relationship, whether it is personal or professional. This means taking the normal business relationship and stepping it up a notch. This does not mean we have to be friends, this means that I respect you enough to want to know you more than whom you are between 9am and 5pm. We are also on the same team and this means allowing you to speak and voice your opinions and concerns to me. I will listen with unbiased ears and we will work through every situation with the fairest outcome in our sights.
What I expect from my people:
I expect my people to respect me at the same level at which I respect them, both as people and as business partners. I also expect that the same respect be reciprocated amongst all other co-workers. With the empowerment I so strongly believe in giving, I expect you to ask questions if you have any doubts on the objective or task at hand. I am a firm believer that the only stupid question is the one that is not asked at all. One last thing that I expect from my people and this is probably the most important; Come to work every day with the intent on delivering 100% effort, I do not expect perfection but since I give each and every one of you 100% commitment I hope you give me the same in return, if not for me than do it for what’s most important for you.
How will I set an example?
I will treat each and every one of my people with the respect which they deserve. I will lead my team with an unbiased perspective and not display favoritism from one person to the next. Everyone on this team is equal and will be treated as such. I will maintain my integrity by allowing my actions to speak for my words and ensure that all I do is for each team members individual success, which in the end will resonate to me, the team, and on a larger scope contribute to the success of the entire organization.
