Those six days including the journey there and back had left lovely memories of my journey at the Lahjung Adventure Centre. I had enjoyed myself very much on the whole, considering the fact that I had to take the first few days to accommodate myself to the ‘real life’. It had taken me a few days to adjust myself to the way of living at the Centre but leaving the place was cheerless and we had all learnt masses about ourselves and bonded well with our friends.
Forthrightly, the first day made me feel as if the class holiday was a ...view middle of the document...
There was this marvelous waterfall that we have to prevent beautiful Mother Nature from being demolished. I was gawping at the magnificent scenery and you will easily be immersed in it as well!
It was already half-way into the trip and I was expecting more fun. We trekked through this jungle, which I did not regret doing. Obediently, I dressed up such that no leeches could bite me and spoil my holiday. The third day had let me get used to living in those unusual conditions. The monkeys and parrots were interesting to observe, even a fungus, which is a drug to fight cancer. Part of the jungle is in danger of getting felled, my dear schoolmates, observe the scene yourself and sympathize it, together we can fight to prevent this cause!
The fourth day was a brilliant day to bond with your counter parts. It was through this experience that I had learnt to socialize with new people and make new friends! It was the day before we departed the Centre, and even trekking with canoes on our backs was worth it. We headed the rapids with experts and we could hear the waters bellowing as we paddled out to the river. Without any warning the waters flushed us down, huge rocks brushed past us but none of that mattered as we were engulfed in excitement. Watching the green trees and clear waters skim pass our eyes was lovely and peaceful.
Finally, the last day came by and everyone was sad to return to our luxurious way of living. It was truly a very memorable experience and the horrible journey had been well ‘compensated’ with many exciting activities that were lined up for us. I genuinely recommend Lahjung Adventure Centre for a retreat: to connect with the past, present and future. In the sense that, you can reconnect with your past friends, bond with your current friends and make friends with people you have never met before. In fact, the scenery there is gorgeous considering the outstanding waterfall and the wildlife creatures.
