Over time, John Keats began to become very depressed and lonely. He was not as fascinated with his works as he once was. There was no more inspiration for him to write as everyone had left his life. Keats had been told that his days were short lived. On February 23, 1821, Keats died peaceful in his sleep. John suffered from the terrible tuberculosis disease. Many were surprised of his death, especially because of his age. With only short lived years, he managed to maintain the legacy of one the greatest poets alive.
