With his enemies being leaders he was set to be executed. Prior to his execution, Jesus and his disciples had a “Last Supper” which was a communion served was bread and wine which in Catholic churches is known as the body of Christ. While at the Last Supper Jesus told his disciples that one of his disciples was going to betray him, he was going to be killed, and resurrect on the third day. “Then Jesus began to tell them that he, the Son of Man, would suffer many terrible things and be rejected by the leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, and three days later he would rise again” Mark 8:31
For thirty pieces of silver Judas (one of Jesus disciples) betrayed Jesus by selling information to those who were not believers and that is what led to his arrest and later his execution by crucifixion. As Jesus was taken to be crucified he had a crown made of thorns placed on his head, tied him to a wooden cross and made him walk up to a hill called Golgotha. Carved into the cross above Jesus’s head said; “This is Jesus, King of the Jews”. As he was being crucified he was being ridiculed for not being able to save himself, but had preached that he could save others. During his suffering Jesus said to God “Father forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing” (Luke 23:26-49).
After hours of hanging Jesus sobbed to God and said “ My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Then it has been stated that there after he died (29-33 CE).
Jesus’s body was taken to a rich man’s tomb to await burial, and on the third day the women who were devoted to Jesus went to get his body for a suitable burial saw that his body was gone, three angles appeared and told them that he had risen from the dead.

Impact of Jesus’s Death
At the Last Supper Jesus predicted his death and resurrection. Jesus died for the sins of others and after his resurrection the disciples that seen Jesus helped with the development of Christianity. After his death, Jesus was not talked about in writings of those who were not Christians. Up until the first century and the writings about Jesus were imprecise and were not useful. It was not until 40 years after the death of Jesus, when people really started to write about his life and death.
