iPhone vs. Galaxy
Samsung and Apple are considered the two of the biggest electronics companies for numerous years. The two companies were endlessly compared with all sorts of electronics from phones, laptops, and tablet PCs. Then, there was a phone that would start another argument amongst “Samsung fans” and “Apple fans” and this phone was the Galaxy S5 that was released few months ago. In rebuttal, the iPhone 6 and 6 plus was released a couple of weeks ago. These two phones will create a lot of buzz and there will be multiple articles judging the two phones. Consumers are turned off by this because of the cheap feel it gives to the phone. When you look at the new iPhone 6, it has a more premium feel with its aluminum frame. Most people place their phones in cases anyhow, but they still seem to care about the build quality of their device. In the new Samsung Galaxy S5, they have changed the back plate somewhat to be more appealing to the consumers. It has a new perforated back to grip the phone better, however it is still made of a cheap material and doesn’t represent a high end smartphone well. With iPhone the leader here in build quality, it may be in Samsungs best interest to redesign their future phones.
The last and most crucial difference between these two devices are their cameras. The cameras on phones have become a very big deal in the past couple of years and have been the difference makers in the consumers’ decision on what phone to choose. The new Galaxy S5 has a 16 megapixel camera with a lot of features that make it better than some regular modern day point and shoot cameras. With that being said, the new iPhone 6 did not do much innovating when it came to the camera or the camera features. So far it has still stuck with an 8 megapixel camera and has not improved on any of its camera features. It would be in Apples best interest to innovate and improve their camera sensor so that the pictures that consumers are taking are in high quality.
