My reasons for choosing the path that I choose were very simple. Ever since my childhood I was always involved in art, I found amusement in drawing, and painting pictures of cars, homes, and cartoons. I always imagined myself to become an animator, or a painter, but I got really interested in construction in a very odd way. When I was 10, my parent’s house was demolished, and so my father was looking for a designer to plan out our new house. One day I overheard the conversation between my father and the designer, and I curiously went over the table to see what they were discussing, as I approached the table, there were many white sheets of blank paper with sketches on them, they were simply beautiful, I was so amazed with the sketches and drawing that I started coping them every time I had a piece of paper in front of me. When they were ...view middle of the document...
I couldn’t see myself doing anything else then to be involved in the world of Architecture. The major I choose was Architecture Technology in which I attend full-time at George Brown College. This is a field that I have chosen to excel at and succeed in life after my college graduation.
When I was a little kid I always had that curiosity to know how things works, how they are build, I could pick things apart and put them back together. So my parents agreed that I should do something with in the art and technology field. I kept my old drawing books up until today, where I can see my drawings from 11 years ago, and I’m able to see how far I have come. My interest in architecture turned my whole life into a different perspective.
The excitement of holding a pencil and transferring your mental ideas into paper are unreal, fells like you’re in total peace with yourself. I continued to explore the world of arts and technology, and it got me to where am at today. If it wasn’t for arts it’s hardly impossible to think of what other career would fit me. Overall am just glad that I got this far. Arts have been the guidance for my life, and a very positive one.
Arts has kept me away from all the problems from the streets, and even inside my home, it gave me a positive aim on life, in which I am chasing after. I enjoy drawing now more than ever, I enjoy solving problems, and I enjoy finding solutions, I believe now I am an architect in the making, because this is what I love.
That was my life’s run down leading up to the point where I decided that architecture technology is the right career for me. It’s a decision that I have made in a simple state of mind, in which I now take very serious, I seriously don’t know what I would be doing if it wasn’t for my love in art. It has helped me to become a better person in character, and within myself to realize who I am. Architecture technology is the key to my success. I am whiling to work as hard as I can to achieve these lifelong goals that I set myself on as a kid.
