Business and Process Reengineering Implementation to Streamline a Business, Followed by Several New Business Technologies To Support the New Business Model
In the post industrial age competition has intensified so much that if the organization can not keep pace with the other companies in the same competitive category it will fail. As a consequence of the above it has become necessary for the organizations to restructure, recognize, and adopted radical new business practices in order to guarantee its competitive edge in todays dynamic global market place. Nexus is required to reinvent their business model, the methodology used being ‘Business Process Reengineering.’ Hammer and Champy (1993) says “ Business Process Reengineering means starting all over, starting from scratch.”
In Business Process Reengineering is one approach for redesigning the way work is done to better support the organization’s mission and reduce cost. Reengineering starts with a high-level assessment of the organization’s mission, strategic goals, and customer needs. In order to start the reengineering process is required to answer the following questions “Does the existing organization’s mission needs to be redefined? Are the organizations ‘strategic goals aligned with the organizations’ missions? Who are the organization’s costumers? An organization may find it is operating on questionable assumptions, particularly in terms of the customer demands and expectations. After the organization’s determines their mission statement then the organization could decide how to improve their service.

Inside the outline of this basic assessment of mission and goals, reengineering focuses on the organization’s business processes the steps and procedures that dominates how resources are used to create products and services that meet the organizations’ customer expectations. As a
structured ordering of work steps across time and place a business process can be decomposed into specific activities, measured, modeled, and identifies, analyzes, and redesigns an organization’s core business processes with the aim of achieving dramatic improvements in critical performance measures, such as cost, quality, service, and faster production.
The reengineering identifies Nexus’s business processes and will fragment into sub-processes and task that are carried out by several specialized function areas with in Nexus. Most commonly the no one is responsible for the overall performance of the entire business process. It is impossible to expect that the overall organization performance improvement by only reengineering a part of the business process. In order to achieve the utmost possible benefits on the organization and their costumers is required to reengineer the entire business model.
