When my kids were younger growing up, they watched TV every day after school. Surely, television is not a bad thing, but nobody can deny that it has negative effects too. Violence, along with sexual content, more than anything else represents television’s bad influence on children. And Although I use to use TV as a babysitter for my children, I think television has a positive influence on youth today because it introduces them to the outside world of more new positive aspects.

Children without natural physical outlets develop frustration or irritability. Increased hours of watching television can also lead to eye strain and postural problems related to the neck and back. Even though television can be educational, parents should regulate the amount of television their children watch. I used to be one of those parents of two, my son and my daughter. I can tell you by experience the impact and effects can be very much influenced Positive or negative.
The disadvantages and advantages of allowing children to watch television are a few such as.
Disadvantage is electronic media like television and video games cut deeply into meaningful play time and social interactions it also affects overall brain development in negative ways. With my son playing on his XBOX with his headset on playing on-line with his classmates, It’s a good thing I signed him up for football, because I would have rather be more active than playing games all day and watching his programs, he also started putting on some weight and since he LOVES FOOTBALL, I signed him up
Advantages, Our children can learn moral lessons in a fun way by watching special episodes meant for children. The television shows, music, video-songs, live matches, etc. are sources of our entertainment. Also, we can learn to make our favorite dishes by watching cooking episodes, like I would do with my daughter Alyssa. The tele-shopping channels offer many bargain deals. We can follow the latest trend by watching the fashion and modelling shows. We can follow the latest trend by watching the fashion and modelling shows. The spiritual shows build our character J. OLSTEN.
Age appropriate TV Program has good effects on children. TV shows for children on some channels like Discovery or National Geographic can increase child’s knowledge. There is also some TV Program which helps children understand the importance of proper nutrition, health and exercise, The Dr. OZ show, The Doctors. They can also watch quiz contests, who wants to be a million air, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, The price is right which increase their general knowledge.
