Primary industries are also the most important industries out of all 3 sectors because it is the main business that a country does to obtain natural materials.

Another important primary industry for Pakistan is agriculture. Pakistan's main natural resources are arable land and water. Approximately 25% of Pakistan's total land area is under construction meaning that they are still working on improving their farming, gardening, and tiling, this means all agriculturally related items. All the plants, wheat, and other natural resources are watered by one of the largest irrigation systems in the world. Pakistan waters three times more acres of land than Russia. Agriculture accounts for about 23% of GDP and employs about 44% of the labour force in Pakistan. The most important crops are wheat, cotton, sugarcane, and rice, which together account for more than 75% of the value of total crop production. Pakistan's largest and also most profitable food crop is wheat. In 2005, Pakistan produced approximately 21,591,400 metric tons of wheat. That is more than all of Africa has produced and they have produced approximately about 20,304,585 metric tons. Pakistan also almost produced nearly about all of South America has grown wheat (24,557,784 metric tons). Consequently, agriculture is one of the primary industries for Pakistan.
Secondary industry usually processes raw materials that are then provided to primary industry to manufacture the product (ex. Auto, machinery, processing.) Leather is one of the secondary industries for Pakistan for many reasons but the main reason is every year all the Islamic countries have a celebration called bakra-eid and what they do is they sacrifice goats, cows, and camel’s bodies and eat them and then they use the animals skin to make leather. The leather industry in Pakistan consists of six sub-sectors called, Tanning, Leather, Footwear, Leather Garments, Leather Gloves, Leather Shoe Uppers, and Leather Goods. Today, Pakistan is among the leading countries in the world for the production of Leather Garments and gloves.
