To administer effective quality management, understanding the big picture and specific details encompasses the practical elements of quality management. Edward Deming and Joseph M. Juran. Two out of three major contributors pulled together to create a comprehensive approach to do business with total quality. According to W. Edward Deming is best known for his 14 Points, the Deming Cycle, and the Seven Deadly Diseases. However, individual elements of the concept, such as the use of statistical data, Six Sigma, Lean, teamwork, continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and employee involvement are used by visionary organizations for years. Regarding Joseph M. Juran is best known for Juran’s Three Basic Steps to Progress, Juran’s Ten Steps to Quality Improvement, the Pareto Principle, and the Juran Trilogy. It is the pulling together and coordinated use of these and other previously disparate elements that gave birth to the comprehensive concept known as total quality (Geotsch & Davis, 2010).
Quality is highly advantaged to succeed in business, a benefit to value excellence in everything expected to proceed in life.
