A natural disaster is when extreme events which cause great loss of life, property and create severe disruption to human lives, such as a hurricane. It seems odd how we can be at such an advanced stage in technology, yet we are unable to completely stop a natural hazard from causing loss of life and damage to existing constructed resources. Hurricanes get their start over the warm tropical waters near the equator. Most hurricanes appear in late summer or early fall, when sea temperatures are at their highest. In order for Florida to receive products, new homes and department stores, they will have to purchase from these distributors which will gain most of the profit. So essentially, it helps both Florida and the companies. Moreover, with the elections coming in about one month's time, it is crucial that the millions hit by the hurricanes will participate to vote. That could possibly alter the outcome if individuals cannot vote due to the natural disaster. To some degree helping Florida is essential, but other factors need to be considered.As a result of transporting products to Florida, it is not only expensive but it can be endangering as well.
