Human Resource Management (HRM) focuses on employing, running and developing individuals in an organization. Human resource managers have to develop a strategy for gaining and maintaining an edge against other competitors in the marketplace. It is there job to gain skilled individuals that will set the company above others. A human resource manager also needs to take care of employees concerns and well beaning in the company. If there is an individual that is unhappy about a situation then the individual can go to the human resource manager and voice their concerns without any ramifications or judgment.

Human resource managers have to think about cost as they are also recruiting new employees. They have to look at the job that they are hiring for the skills of the applicants and they pay that the company will pay out. A human resource manager cannot bring someone in that has little to no experience for the position and pay them a competitive salary it is not good for the company or the employee. The company will suffer because the new hire does not know all the job responsibilities and time will have to be taken out to train this person longer than an individual who has more knowledge of the job. The individual will suffer because they me become overwhelmed and stressed easier if they are not able to keep up with the demands of the job required of them. Quality of work life is specific to the employees. The human resource manager needs to think about the safety and quality care of the employee. Is the environment safe for all employees is everyone getting along and happy with their jobs and the company.
