B. SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE BOOK:

Preface: The book wanted to attract the students. The author wrote this book in order to more fully develop and integrate the strategic perspective of human resource practice. The book is all about practices that help obtain and motivate employees which are the core focus of the human resource management.
Author’s Background: Greg L. Stewart is an Associate Professor and Tippie Research Fellow in Henry B. Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. Kenneth G. Brown is also an Associate Professor and Huneke Faculty Research Fellow in the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.
Table of Contents: There two parts of contents in this book; The Brief Contents which only consists of the Parts and Chapters and the Main Contents in which the topics in each chapter are being listed. It has no leaders. The fonts are colorful and readable. And format is very nice.
List of Figures: This book doesn’t have a list of figures but it has Photo credits. In this part, photos are being listed by chapter. The page and the source of the figure are indicated. A total of 101 figures found in this book.
List of Tables: There is no list of tables in this book but as I scanned, it has 45 tables available in all chapters except 5 and 12.
Glossary: 11 pages are allotted for the Glossary. The words being defined are of different kinds like technical, foreign and others but most of them are business terms. The words also crystal clearly defined.
Index: This book has a 20-page index and divided into two types; the Name and Company Index and Subject Index. I found the word 7-eleven and it is indicated that it is found in page...
