I observed that Travelers throughout the world have always sought hospitable places to rest and eat. Although modern hotels feature conveniences such as televisions, en-suite showers and minibars, they fulfill the same purpose as ancient rooms and boarding houses. Over the course of the 20th century, business organizations and corporations took over ownership and management of most of the large hotels in the country. Hotel management training courses were originally broad based, but have evolved over the years to offer more specialized courses for students who plan to work in one of the many spheres of hospitality management.

Originally, simple bars for travelers served a limited range of food and drinks in basic surroundings. During the 19th century, an increasing number of restaurants opened in both cities and towns. Restaurateurs welcomed the wide availability of commercially frozen food and this led to more affordable menu and the fast food franchises, still popular today. The skills of restaurant managers have changed over the years, and most restaurant chains and franchises now run their own training programs.

Hotel management refers to professional management techniques used in the hospitality. These can include hotel administration, accounts, marketing, housekeeping, front office or front of house, food and beverage management, catering and maintenance for Hotels and also Restaurants.
Function of Hotels
The main function of hotels is to provide comfortable and safe accommodations for travelers. They can also act as a meeting space for various groups or organizations.

Management in all business activities is the act of getting people together to accomplish their goals and objectives using many different available resources efficiently and effectively. Management is form of planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling a group or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. Resourcing include the deployment and manipulation of human resources, financial resources, technological resources, and natural resources.
Every group can be viewed as systems and human actions are management, including design and to facilitate the production of useful outcomes from a system.
This view opens the opportunity to manage oneself, a needs to attempting to manage others.


Autocratic - This one is where the manager is used to giving instructions- telling people what to do and fails to involve others by asking them for their opinions. The manager is the only person contributing to the decision-making process.

Consultative - These managers will have good listening skills and also the ability to create the right sorts of processes to consult other people in the organization loop. In an organization with a culture of consultation, there will be a series of mechanisms. Memos, emails internal postings, newsletters and briefings. The structure is likely to be flatter with very good communication channels. There will be a forward-thinking culture. This style is starting to take the majority and will be more likely to improve quality process in their companies.
