No wonder modern technology innovations keep coming out each year. Even with all the new changes and the fast lifestyles. Few things are resolute such as customs and traditions. Each country has a wealth of culture and heritage passed on from their ancestors. Many people believe and value the inheritance; ensure to transfer the tradition to the upcoming generations. The distinguishing civilization, inheritance, and traditions are unique for each nation. The heritage assessment tool helps to differentiate various traditions and heritage of different cultures.

They give importance to health maintenance, protection, and restoration by physical examinations, vaccinations, and age appropriate health screenings. Public health services are available to society to integrate and improve optimal health. Providing hygienic and nutritious food, water, environmental sanitation improvement especially in schools and public sectors are major concerns of the India government. Health education is integral part of health promotion. Easily accessible screening tests and early disease detection programs for diabetes, hypertension, cardiac diseases etc. make the society healthy (planning commission, 2002). Though India has well equipped modern health care facilities under public and private sector; poor people do not get much benefit from costly private sector. India is enriched with media like television, radio, newspapers, and printed materials to educate and motivate population about immunizations and prevention of communicable diseases.
My family is strongly attracted and engaged in our culture. The households always encourage us to seek medical counseling to disclose illness and find proper treatment. In the family and society men have more power and authority. People expect health care provider to be trust worthy in suggesting treatment and to be solid in the course of treatment. Indians are modest and prefer same sex health practioners (Shapiro, n d).
Nigerian health tradition and beliefs differ from others. Nigerians define life as a process and the essential qualities of a person as energy forces (Walker, 1996). They believe a person’s mental, physical, and spiritual aspects are not isolated and sound health means concord with universe. According to Nigerian belief inborn ailments happens from spontaneous reasons like cold air, rain, heat, dirty food and air etc. They do believe in the existence of demons and evil spirits that make people sick (Campinhabacote, 1992). In order to dismiss the wicked spirits people used to get opinion from traditional healers who are usually females.
Nigerian health policy is to achieve optimal health to all citizens. The government collaborated with World Health Organization to obtain this goal and launched campaigns and health education services to fight against HIV/AIDS, communicable and non- communicable diseases, thus to promote healthy lifestyles (WHO, n d).
Middle Eastern communities’ health tradition is different from Indian and Nigerian. A greater number of populations in Arab world are Muslims and they have superstitions in evil eye and believe that causes illness. As a protective remedy from evil eye people wear special bracelets in their body and perfume with incense. With the increase in the education level among Arabs these customs are getting vanished currently.
