Functional Areas of Business:
One of the functional areas of business that I will like pursue is Human Resources Management or Operations Management. Human Resources because I will like to be the one that will conduct the hiring, trained, guide or manage of that employee to the company. Making sure that the correct personnel gets hired to perform the job. The other functional area I like is Operations Management making sure the process of getting the products is received with no errors it will help me to prepare budgets, facilitate several programs around the company control inventory and handle logistics. Good communication skills will also be important because it will help to avoid misinterpretations and dissatisfaction. Be a good planner communicate the vision of the company to my subordinates, break down and clarify the goals, it also involves thinking and planning. The daily routine of making decisions, to include how to approach that employee that is not performing or getting the job done.
My position will give me the opportunity to give directions so that the team can perform effectively, offer some job coaching, training and support, sometimes they might need extra input or information. I want to be able to have the capacity to evaluate and examine on deciding on the best choice to produce an outcome, look at the importance and values and take the best approach.
I am also expected to track the employee’s activities and effectiveness, review them and offer some feedback or counseling if necessary. Providing satisfaction, my subordinates will be happy when they are provided with the necessary tools and resource. Have priorities on health, safety and cleanliness issues. Satisfy the customer by giving good quality of service or product and take care of their needs and issues. Stay updated with new and different methods and technologies are a positive change to your team, an expertise in your line of work, it will make the team more efficient. I want to be that manager that will set high standards or goals; I want to be that role model. I want to be that manager that will have the ability to handle stress and remain calm under job pressure. Set the examples by being accountable for my own activities and performance. Work harder on my growth and become a well-respected and efficient leader.
