Students can only be released to the parent/guardian on file, unless the parent notifies us in advance that someone other than the documental guardian is to pick the student up. In cases of emergency, the party picking the student up will need documentation stating shy they are picking the student up. This is done to ensure the safety of the student, and all documentation will be verified prior to the student being released. Students that have been suspended must return with a parent or guardian. Failure to do so can result in the student being charged with trespassing on DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOLS property. Students are PROHIBITED from using CELL PHONES DURING SCHOOL HOURS.
