Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation which is ranked 3rd in the world in automobile production. Ford has always been in the top ten largest companies in the world by revenue and in 1999 was among the most profitable companies in the world and the second largest automobile manufacturer in the world.

In 2012, 30,600 units were produced and according to the latest Commitments Ford Romania in 2013 will be installed at the Craiova plant production capacity for the production of 350,000 units per year.
Competitors

The main competitor to Ford's Dacia, a company that has become an important investment for those of Renault, for which the Romanian car manufacturer bought in 1999.
Dacia produced in January-June 2012, 181,295 cars, up 16.7% from the same period last year and 43,312 units Ford B-Max.In Romania in 2012 were sold only 20 908 vehicles produced in the country by Dacia and Ford, out of a total of 87,505 vehicles. In the first six months of 2013 were exported 43.312 145.432 Dacia and Ford Bmax.
Other competitors are large companies such as Toyota, General Motors Company and Chrysler Group LLC.
