During the week I Anthony Hill had to conduct a food intake for three consecutive days. This paper will describe & display my nutritional intake for the past three days after gathering information. This will provide different aspects of my nutritional needs and an in depth analysis on how my proteins fats carbohydrates & fiber take part in my everyday diet and results. This is intended to focus my views of a healthy eating lifestyle which shows how to achieve it through a variety of food groups.
Well during this three day food intake, I consumed chicken, ground beef, ...view middle of the document...

This is very important because they compensate for system deficiencies in essential amino acid content in each protein (Wardlaw & Smith, 2011). In my stage group people of ages (31-50y) daily recommended protein intake, which I was only just short by maybe 2 grams in the carbohydrate intake but I went over by 128 grams and the lipid intake was just above average. Honestly I was kind of surprised by the numbers because I have never studied my daily intakes before in my life and they are showing that I eat a lot of carbohydrates. Macronutrients are relatively needed in huge amounts. I have consumed a vast quantity of these nutrients within my three day period. Which for example being, 21 water bottles along with the above mentioned proteins, carbohydrates and lipids together.
Micronutrient Intake Ranges
Macronutrients are a very important part of your daily intake since they provide the body with calories and energy. These specific nutrients are needed for metabolism and growth of the body. The three macronutrients are carbohydrates, protein, and fat (McKinley Health Center, 2008). It is important to that macronutrient intake be within the recommended intake range. Having a diet that consists of too much or too little of a macronutrient could be harmful which would cause issues for the body. If you consume too many macronutrients you could gain fat and if you eat too little macronutrients you could lose healthy fat, which this could cause the body to break down. If you consistently eat too little protein, carbohydrates, or lipids, the body would be malnourished, which could have very harmful effects on your health.
Fiber Intake Ranges
When it comes to my fiber intake it was 41.1% of the recommended daily intake. I definitely feel that my fiber intake over the three days is about right. Fiber is certainly a very important part of a diet and the average man such as me should consume 38 grams of fiber each day.  Fiber is important for flushing out the body’s waste. Buildup of waste is bad for the body and can lead to many diseases that cause severe damage to the body. Most of the problems caused are colon cancer, obesity, and diabetes. My diet met the lowest amount of servings of foods from each fiber-containing group. Foods such as carrots, apples, olives, wheat bread & vegetables provided the fibers...
