First Camping Trip Essay

1120 words - 5 pages

When I was 6 years old I went camping for my first time with my mother and little sister. We never camp before. The scale of excitement and joy was higher for me and my sister. My grandmother told us she read books that describe camping experience, and what to look forward to. We could not wait to go camping to see everything nature had to afford. Camping sounded every nice to hear, and we were going to live out doors. We were going to the camping site at Paul M. Dimmick. After I set up the dinner table my little sister and I played hide and go seek. It was so fun being a kid.

She had to keep telling us to chew our food slowly, we might choke. After dinner we had burn S’mores around the fire pit. Seeing the fire burning the S’mores, you can hear all kinds of animals making noise. They didn’t scare us; the sound was really interested to hear. The first night we didn’t have a problem sleeping in your little tent. It was so pitch black outside with no television. The only light source we had was a lantern. We told stories for a long time until the sleep took over us. I had a smile on my face, sleeping like a baby. I never thought sleeping outside would be so comfortable. Everybody was in a deep sleep snoring.
The next morning, after the fully night sleep I was waked by the giggles that were so loud. It was freezing cold that morning. My mother remembers my grandmother reading books about how to camp. We brought a lot of clothes with us. I slipped on my clothes that made me feel warm inside, I thought about not complaining because I was warm....
