Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to provide the author’s viewpoint and reflect the research conducted on Harley-Davidson, Inc. Through personal visits to Harley-Davidson Dealerships and various internet sites, the author was able to compile a worth of information from the history of Harley-Davidson, to their charity contributions, and to the company’s financial statements.
History
The history of Harley-Davidson began in 1903 with two individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Company Culture
Harley-Davidson believes in creating a working environment that is conducive to good order, respect and discipline. And they do so by implementing numerous polices such as Financial Code of Ethics, Audit Committee Charter and Harley-Davidson Environmental Policy.
Business Segments
Harley-Davidson, Inc. employs about 9,000 people worldwide. Its corporate headquarters is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Company’s domestic production facilities are in the Milwaukee area, East Troy and Tomahawk, Wisconsin; York, Pennsylvania; and Kansas City, Missouri.
Harley-Davidson offers factory tours of a behind-the-scenes look at the manufacturing process at the Troy, Tomahawk and the Wauwatosa factories.

Events and Plans
The Harley-Davidson family of customers, dealers, suppliers and employees has raised more than $65 million to aid research and program services for children and adults with MS. Funds are raised through support of annual bike rides, support life-saving research, comprehensive medical care for children and adults with neuromuscular disease, and MDA summer camps. Creating open houses, holding fundraising rides, and hosting Black-n-Blue charity dinners are just a few of the ways they raise money for MDA.
By partnering with community-based organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hunger Task Force and Boys and Girls Clubs to name a few, Harley-Davidson not only promotes diversity, but also makes a lasting impression on the future.

Strengths- Customer loyalty is probably the number one strength of Harley's business. Once a person buys a Harley, it seems as though they become trapped in the entire Harley business.
