the human rights issues presented by PharmaCARE’s treatment of the Colberia’s indigenous population versus that of its executives
Business ethics is described as the principles and values that define acceptable conduct for business institutions. Suitability of company behavior will be control by workers, customers, competitors, government and regulatory agencies, special interest groups, and the community many firms have encountered legal suits because of the routine in which they have treated the public, workers, consumers, and the environment during their business actions. Because the company is located in Africa and not in the United States, PharmaCARE’s Colberia’s facility is getting away with unethical actions. The Colberians are working for couple dollars a day, harvesting plants forcing workers to walk five miles in and out of the jungle while carrying baskets Wight up fifty pounds. And also, those workers face low standard living and that much of the population are living basic huts with no running water and no electricity.in the other hand, the company pay huge salaries to executives and exploit the rank-to-file workers. , and living in a luxury compound, complete with a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a golf course. That’s the gap make that company doings its own action with an unethical way. But my suggestion to change from pharmaCare policies is to pay the workers more salary than what they get daily. provide health and safety work environment for those workers. Trying providing those workers with facilities and tools to make collecting the planets easier.
PharmaCARE exposures its workers to harmful working conditions. Many of the employees have been got respiratory disease as a result of inhaling toxic substances arising from the company’s laboratories. Although, the management did not do any action about the unhealthy situation. Further, the PharmaCARE Company has been suspect of contributing an unsafe drug to the market with severe side effects of cardiac deaths. The incident of accident happening in the production facility where workers are often injured by used of machinery because of lack of training to the workers and showed light that PharmaCARE is acting ethically towards it employee and is unable to take care of health and safety issue within the organization. The PharmaCARE need to provide proper atmosphere for its employee who works for them at their production facility at Colberia. PharmaCARE need to do careful evaluation of the needs and requirement of the worker
