Why are ethical issues a major concern in organization? When it comes to ethics I believe that it starts with ones morals, although morals are based on one beliefs and ethics is based on a code of conduct I believe you don’t have one without the other. So within any organization I believe that their goals is to insure that things are some right by ensure that the companies code of conduct is being consider when needed and applied. On page 25 of our text the author’s state that the internal organizational influences are as followed:
• Ethical codes
• Organizational culture
• Organizational size
• Structure
• Perceives pressure for results
• Corporate strategy
Ethical codes are code of conduct that the organization set for employees to abide by. Organizational culture is the tone in which they set it has to be lived not just talked about. Organizational size, I believe if a company is too large than it’s hard to manage. Structure, is also very important a well oil machine last longer than one that’s not. Perceives pressure for results meaning training your employees and giving them what they need gives them a since of belonging and pride in better results. And corporate strategy is the key to it all.
