Ethical and Socially Responsive Business

I believe that every company should encourage a relationship of trust, loyalty,
honesty, and responsibility among staff members at all levels. It’s important that each
staff member works together to achieve excellence in a business, so the code of conduct
is put in place. The purpose of the code is to provide guidance and set common ethical
standards for employees from the top of the food chain to the bottom of the food chain.

Employees should perform
to the best of their abilities and be professional. Employees should not gossip and attempt
to undermine management and if employees do participate in these actions they will be

first understand what the ethics are. Ethics training provides employees with the
opportunity to gain an understanding of the organization’s ethics and their appropriate
application. Ethical training can be included in: Specific training sessions aimed at ethics
in the workplace and Management training programs. This kind of training will happen
every six month.
Following Policies And Procedures
Most organizations have policies and procedures in place to ensure that the code of ethics
is followed appropriately. For example, the procedure that must be followed when a
disciplinary matter occurs may be formally documented. In this way, the disciplinary
actions will be conducted in an ethical manner as described in the code of ethics.
Wherever the restaurant has policies and procedures it is important that these are
followed so that employees:
* Are dealt with fairly and equally

* Can see that ethical behavior is the only acceptable form of behavior
