The services may not necessarily be adequately staffed and the services may not be as available as they should be for the whole community.
There are both similarities and differences in ethical and legal issues that arise in businesses. The differences include that an ethical issue may not necessarily have litigation that follows whereas legal issues if they are not addressed in a timely manner the litigation and monetary costs of the actions can be very detrimental. An issue can be both a legal and ethical issue such as consumer privacy issues when doing business in online communities when there is a breach. Privacy is not limited to online business community. Organizations can imply better checks and balance systems as well as increase their encryption on their data to prevent future breaches of consumer privacy. They need to put more of their resources to the prevention and quick resolution of ethical issues to prevent them from causing non repairable damage to the company.
For a company to develop socially responsible initiatives there are many factors for the organization to consider prior to implementing their initiative, such as cost, public reception, and overall fit for the business.
