If the employee has problems walking or needs to have assistance with walking a handicap ramp should be available to the employee. If for any reason an employee may be hearing impaired, a telephone with amps if available to the employee would be an asset to the employee. If the company does not stay in compliance with the law and if an employee feels he or she has been discriminated against he or she can contact the EEOC and proceed with the necessary paper work to start a claim. The process to start the claim process should be in the office 180 days of the discrimination unless there is a state law that specifies otherwise. If the company does not stay in compliance with the law a compliant can be filed by the individual under the circumstances covered by the law. Any employer who does not stay in compliance can be fined of not more than $500 or imprisonment for not more than one year ("Facts About The Age Discrimination in Employment Act ", 2008).

The Family Medical leave act of 1993
