The focus of this paper will compare and contrast the quality management of Southwest Airlines which competes in the domestic market and Lufthansa competes in the global market. I will describe procedures of similarity between both organizations. This paper will also explain how the process produces a competitive service in both the global and domestic market. They also allow customers to use discounts and promotions for their services. They produce a competitive service by the many destination options they have through their services; Southwest domestic market options include Portland, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Little Rock, and Chicago. Lufthansa also has many desinations which include global market options like Argentina, Germany, Egypt, China, Brazil, and Canada. They both provide a competitive service which will continue to be used throughout the nation for both business and personal use. Offering extra services such as car rentals and help with booking hotels adds to their list of competitveness.
Quality Management affect on Companies
Quality management affects the position of both Southwest Airlines and Lufthansa because of their many restrictions. Also the companies customer service ratings can have an affect which reflects the quality management. Although, thier service levels are on a different scale quality management is important aspect for both companies. Without good quality management these companies will suffer lost in revenue and customers. They must always consider the quality management of their businesses in order to continue to growing. The different aspects that make up quality management can be broken down into control and assurance. Companies must this at all times due to the continuous interaction with customers.
