The organization model and structure that best describes the organization that I work for would most definitely have to be the Bureaucratic / Matrix organization; I say that because I work for a collection firm. There is change constantly at my place of employment, at times this for the better, and other times it may be because another supervisor does not like the change; I call it politics. I would like to think that information and technology networks would work well with our company but when in a collection agency is very hard to network with another collection agency because of the competition; and I don't use the word competition mildly for example we have to sign a contract when we are hired in stating that there are four other collection agencies that we are not allowed to work for within a two-year span of our termination or of leaving the organization that I work for now. I can't say that we are using a very high-tech computer software, the best search engines, the owner of the companies spares no expense when it comes to searching and inputting data into the system (p. 52-65).
In order for this or any other structure to work to its full capacity the organization must have a good supportive management team that is willing to take the time to teach his or team with all the passion that is needed to keep the company going. Several managers just do what it takes to get by from 8 – 5, much more is needed; the team needs to know that they are valued, he or she also needs to feel appreciated and needed; like their decisions and ideas matter as well. The team has already been formed, now it is time to put our ideas together and come up with a plan to succeed, it is always good to have a plan; making sure it is played out correctly to the end is what matters.
