Effective communication is a process in which you have one party that sends a message that can be understood by a receiving party. When you use effective communication you have to use the correct body language, active listening, and interference. The person on the receiving end of the communication process must be able to understand the information clearly from the person that is sending the information. I find it more professional and much easier to explain what was going on with a patient. There is a less of a chance for miscommunication because all questions, answers, and concerns could be addressed at one time while talking to the patients on the phone. The only problem I see with communication is an e-mail is it may not get sent and received from a client. Then after sending the e-mail you have to make sure that receiving end had gotten it. With a phone call it is always a sure way of communicating. Another good way of communication is face-to-face. With face-to-face you can always see the expression the receiver that is listening, and you can get the feedback that you want. Another way of effective communication is the use of the Electronic Medical Record in the medical field. Using these Electronic Medical Records makes it easier to share information. Also using Electronic Medical Records can be protected because the files will be saved, and they cannot be lost.

In today’s health care things are changing on a daily basics. With today’s technology the computer is a major benefit in the health care field. There are video conferences that will be used to communicate with different providers and organizations for face-to-face communication.
