Pardue (1987) and Scoloveno (1981) reported that baccalaureate students, when compared with
associate degree and diploma students, showed higher critical thinking scores. A critical thinking
dispositions and skills study carried on senior students enrolled in ADN, BSN, and RN-to-BSN
programs in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, North Chungcheong Province, and North Jeolla Province
in South Korea in 2000, using The California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI)
and California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST) revealed that BSN students scored

significantly higher than RN-to BSN and ADN students. A comparison of CCTDI scores
revealed that the BSN students scored 267.40, RN-to-BSN 261.15, and ADN 261.50.
A comparison of CCTST scores among groups revealed that the BSN Students scored 13.33,

Another difference between BSN and ADN is that of leadership/Management role.
