With a smaller class room size, it’ll be easier to seek more attention from a professor for the help you need. And that is a partial role of faculty.
Private universities or Ivy Leagues like USC are a more of a corporation, they sell their academic programs to wealthy students. Then you're no longer a student, just a consumer. State colleges and universities treat you differently. They see you as a student and want to give you the best education care about your education and want you to succeed in their program. CSU Dominguez Hills annual tuition cost ranges to about 12,200 a year which is more affordable then other universities. USC annual total tuition can range to 55,535-71,393 a year. In this case Dominguez Hills would be more acceptable if you come from low income families. There’s a higher rate student will go to Dominguez rather than USC because of expenses.
Dominguez Hills would still be my first choice. Professors are always there for you and want you to strive for the best. An education coming from a state school does not devalue education, its still the same education you would get at an Ivy League minus the title.
