Oblast Ekoloske odrzivosti u PepsiCo kompaniji mozemo podeliti u 4 zasebne celine koje cemo u daljem tekstu i opisati sagledavajuci kako ostvarene tako i planirane ciljeve:
* Voda
* Zemljiste i pakovanje
* Klimatske promene
* Zajednice

* Unaprediti upotrebnu efikasnost koriscenja nase vode po jedinici proizvoda za 20% do 2015. godine.

Mi smo izabrali oblasti Kine, Meksika, Evrope, Indije i Amerike za pilot razvoj fleksibilnog i robusnog sistema koji omogucava PepsiCo postrojenjima da okarakterisu njihov vodeni rizik, ali takodje da identifikuju nacine kojim ce povratiti kvalitetnu snabdevenost vodom.

* Obezbediti snabdevanje ispravne vode za 3 miliona ljudi iz zemalja u razvoju do kraja 2015. godine.

Posto je ulozeno vise od 15 miliona dolara od 2005. godine u projekte vezane za vodu, PepsiCo fondacija radi na tome da ublazi nestasice vode u zemljama u razvoju. U stvari, PepsiCo fondacija ocekuje da obezbedi pristup cistoj vodi za milion ljudi do kraja 2011. godine, kao i da poveca taj broj do cak tri miliona do 2015. godine. Vecina obavljenoga se odradila u saradnji sa „“, „Safe“, „China Women’s Development Foundation“ i „Earth Institute at Columbia University“. Zajedno, mi pravimo vodne stanice, od vitalnog znacaja za domacinstva i opstinske sisteme. Na nivou sela, sa sredstvima Fondacije, nasi partneri mogu instalirati sisteme za poljoprivredno navodnjavanje, sisteme za takozvano kisno navodnjavanje, izgraditi cisterne i sanitarne sisteme za podrsku programima povecanja higijene.


* Nastaviti sa industrijskim vodjstvom ukljucivanjem najmanje 10% recikliranog polietilen tereftalata (rPET) u proizvodnju nasih primarnih posuda za pice u SAD i siroko rasprostrani koriscenje istog na kljicnim medjunarodnim trzistima.
Industrijski smo lider u upotrebi biorazgradivih rPET materijala za pakovanja za pica na trzistu SAD. U 2010. godini, nastavili smo da ispunjavamo obaveze ukljucivsi u proseku 10% rPET-a u ampalazu za pica u SAD. Posebno smo ponosni sto je nas brand „Naked Juice“ komercijalizovan kod, 100% kasnije recikliranih, potrosaca plasticnih boca u domacem prehrambenom kanalu. Inovacije su takodje nasa vodilja pa tako i tezimo da nas rPET program sprovodimo na internacionalnom nivou. Na primer, U Francuskoj, tokom treceg kvartala 2010. godine, poceli smo prodaju 1,5 litarske boce proizvoda „Tropicana“ koja je sadrzala 50% rPETA-a. Ovom promenom postigli smo godisnju ustedu smole u iznosu od oko 0,5 miliona kilograma. U 2011. godini, planiramo da prosirimo upotrebu rPET-a u zemljama van SAD za vise od 1,2 miliona kilograma.

* Uspostavljanje partnerstva koja doprinose povecanju koriscenja pakovanja americkih pica za 50% do 2018. godine.

Uspostavljamo nacionalna partnerstva i razvijamo nove tehnologije kako bi reciklazu ucinili laksom i efikasnijom. Prosle godine, pokrenuli smo „Dream Machine“ inicijativu sa organizacijama „Waste Management“, „Greenopolis“ i „Keep America Beautiful“, kako bi promovisali reciklazu svih ambalaza americkih napitaka. sa 38% u 2009. godini na 50% do 2018. godine. Program, koji ukljucuje nagradne punktove podsticaja, podstice sakupljanje ambalaza napitaka na javnim mestima, kao sto su marketi, benzinske pumpe, sportske hale, koledzi, domovi i skole, koriscenjem inteligentnih masina...
