The world of the electronic business
Electronic business is a business managed over the internet, like using electronic networks to do transactions, processes and systems that assist the act of doing business. According to SearchCIO, "E-business (electronic business), derived from such terms as "e-mail" and "e-commerce" is the conduct of business on the Internet, not only buying and selling but also servicing customers and collaborating with business partners" .The e-business world (electronic business world) is about helping in the development of business operations, changing business models, and internal communication tools. Instead of going to the shop to buy products, customers can send the names of the products that they want to buy and their address in an e-mail to the company. After that companies will deliver those products to the customer's address without taking much time.
Moreover, companies also acquire many advantages for using e-business globally. One of the advantages for companies using e- business is that the sales opportunities increased. In the last few years, companies used to sell products through shops, so sales were limited with the working hours of shops. Nowadays, sales are for 24 hours a day, seven days a week with no need for shops to be open; therefore the sales opportunities increased. Another reason for the increased sales opportunities is that companies can access the global markets and sell products to people in different countries. Since e-business can be accessed by anyone in the world, companies can put advertisements for products on the internet using e-business and products would be sold without paying money on advertisements. Another advantage for companies using e-business is that the cost of moving products from the factory to stores and from stores to shops has decreased. This is due to the fact that companies are no longer need to show products in shops because it is already showing on the internet so products would be delivered from the factory directly to the customer's address.
On the other hand, there are several disadvantages for customers for using e-business globally. The lack of return policies is one of the disadvantages for customers using e-business as once they have paid the money for products; they cannot get the money back or complain about the damaged products. Another disadvantage is that customers cannot touch or feel products that they are going to buy. As a consequence of not having the ability to touch products, companies can deliver products with poor quality to the customer's address and customers cannot complain about the poor quality or return products. It is not only that customer do not have the ability to touch products, but customers may also pay the price of the products more than one time on the internet and companies do not deliver products...
