Decentralized strengths and shortcomings
The strength of decentralized training for hourly employees is that it provides them with practical knowledge of the job. The ability to experience the job first hand is always a great training practice for new employees. The rigorous training that each company puts their hourly employees and manages through is very demanding but it makes them tough and able to handle work load. (Ivancevich, 2010) The video cassettes and posters are provided by corporate staff so that they can learn through those videos and apply that in their jobs. (Ivancevich, 2010)

Training needs at Domino’s franchise
After recruiting hourly paid staff in Domino’s Pizza, that staff must be evaluated on certain skills. such as knowledge of corporate vision and goals, cost management, customer service just to name a few. The evaluation form should consist of questions regarding the corporation’s vision, goals, store operations (cost and etc.) must be asked. Through the answers provided we can judge how aware they are of store operations and the corporation. After the evaluation has been completed, we can make groups of those hourly paid employees according to their skills. The employees who are having same type of skills should be grouped under one team, having experience in the pizza industry. Based on their skills put employees at a store location for 2 weeks before going through formal training and the store manager should complete field evaluations on how they complete certain task and provide comments on what additional skills they need. After 2 weeks, we bring the group into a classroom and train them on the areas of need as well as tasks that they we not able to complete during the on-the-job training. I would have an open discussion on what they learned and found difficult or challenging about certain tasks. I believe that everyone should get the training no matter what their skills are because this is a new company. Through this training program we can cut down our cost for training as well as we can save our time and polish all the employees equally.
