It has been said that the generation we live in, is becoming known as the “popcorn generation.” Many have expressed that we are in the: “I need it now, I want it now era.” The advancement of technology is to blame some say, and others blame the advancement of science. Either way, a significant amount of people in this day and age have the desire to lose weight. Some people prefer the old fashion method of dieting and exercising and others, cosmetic surgery. Eating in proportions and monitoring your intake is the part of the dieting experience that promises the best results.
Dieting and eating healthy effects the human body in more ways than one. It can give an individual better skin and complexion. Eating healthy and making wise decisions will introduce and fill your body with the nutrients that it needs. Changing your eating habits, changes your lifestyles. Therefore eating healthy can also boost a person’s physical energy. Their body will be filled with nutrients that won’t slow them down and make them feel sluggish and exhausted. A major bonus of eating healthy is that it can reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and even arthritis.
Exercising
It is almost impossible to turn any television on without seeing an individual performing some form of physical activity, which can be classified as exercise. Exercise does so much more than what most people realize and give credit for. When most people think of exercise, they think about lifting weights, going to the gym, profusely sweating and running on a treadmill. Even though all of these activities are a form of exercise, they are not always necessary. An individual do not need a gym membership in order to exercise. There are several fitness discs and classes that one can take and normal daily activities that are considered to be exercise. For example, walking, climbing stairs, carrying and picking up bags are all physical activities, which is a form of exercise. Exercise is mainly known for its ability to help maintain a fit body and prevent weight gain, but it does so much more than that.
There are several other benefits of engaging in exercise. Exercising and remaining active can help reduce cholesterol, keep your blood flowing smoothly, and lower your risks of obtaining cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and arthritis. When performing physical activities, it not only boosts one’s energy, but also stimulate chemicals in your brain that will make you feel more at ease, and happy. We all know that the most rewarding benefit of exercising is achieving a desired look. Not every desired look is guaranteed, but that does not mean that the body is not healthy.
Cosmetic Surgery. Plastic surgery is defined by (Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary 2013), as: “surgery done to repair, restore, or improve lost, injured, defective, or misshapen body parts.” Plastic surgery has been around for a very long time. Some of its early work dates back to 2000 BC, India. It was not until the 1960s that the defining purpose of plastic surgery evolved. Its evolution brought a new field which we now know as cosmetic surgery.
