Do you remember your first time going shopping by yourself? Well I remember my first time going shopping by myself. The feeling was good I felt like a man when my dad give me some money and said do you think you’re ready to go shopping by yourself. My dad give about $300 to go shopping with so I said yes and headed to the mall. I was thinking about a lot as I was walking to the mall like what’s the first thing I’m going to buy with all this money. I was about 14 or 15 years old at the time that’s a lot of money for someone my age.
My first steps inside of the mall was felt with joy. I didn’t have to check with nobody on what I wanted if I wanted something I could just buy it. I still thought about what my dad would say about the price of pants, shoes, and shirts and shopped smart. Shopping smart is when you get what you want on sale or more for less. 00. I was ready to go to the next store but there where so many options it was somewhat overwhelming like a kid in a candy store.
I started to walking around the mall looking for the next store I wanted to shop out of so I when into a shoe store that go’s by the name footlocker. The reason I when into footlocker is to find some shoes to go with my outfit from H&M so I'm looking for some white shoes. I am looking around the shoe store and I see all kinds of shoes red shoes,black shoes,blue shoes, and much more. It was some many blue shoes lined up side by side looked like a sea of blue and I remember these colorful shoes that looked like a bag of skittles. I saw the white shoes they were white as the winter snow but it was a pair of all white nikes air force ones that I could not stop looking at they were so white.
A lady came over and said “can I help you with something” I said “yes can I see the all white air force ones in a size 7” she said ok and walked off and came back with the all white air force ones it was love at first site. I tried on the air force ones I liked everything about the shoes the way the shoes looked and felt so I told her I will buy them. I walked over to the cash register the man at the register said ‘did you have the all white air force ones?’ I said ‘yes’ and paid $100.00 for the air force ones. So now I have about $160 to spend at the mall I was getting hungry I was thinking about what do I want to eat.
I was walking to the food court when I got to the food court I walked around for 15 minutes I did not know what I wanted everything looked so good. I tried some samples from the food court so I ended up getting something from KFC. I ate for about 30 minutes thinking about how I'm going to look in my new outfit and should I were the outfit to school, a party, outside, or on a date when I was done eating I got on bus to go home. I told my dad about my day at the mall he was so happy with the way I shopped he let me keep the left over money. Well that was my first time shopping by myself and I had the time of my life.
