Various individuals consider that marketing is about advertising or sales. Conversely, marketing is everything an organization does obtain customers, and continue a relationship with them. To obtain clients business may have to do a small task that consist of correspond thank-you letters, playing golf with a potential customer, promptly returning calls, and meeting with a previous client for coffee can be part of marketing. The ultimate objective of marketing is to match a business products and services to the individual who wants and must have them, in so doing guarantee profitability. This paper will define marketing, and explain the importance of marketing with examples.

"For a business to be successful in the marketing mix", the business must take part in a marketing analysis, planning, implementation, and control. As these activities takes place the company lookouts, and adjusts to the actors, and powers into the marketing environment (Armstrong, G., & Kutler, P. 2011, p.49). An operational marketing program balances all of the marketing mix fundamentals into a unified marketing program aimed to accomplish the company’s marketing purposes by delivering significance to customers. The marketing mix creates the company’s strategic tool kit for creating durable positioning in the target markets (Armstrong, G., & Kutler, P. 2011, p.54).
