Decisions in Paradise
The company that is represented in this paper is Glacier Bank. This company has sent me to a significant island called Kava that is located in the South Pacific. Glacier Bank has sent a representative here to insure that the company that we represent has a greater presence on this island and to make sure that decisions that are made have our company and the people of Kava in mind. The people of Kava are unique and over 50% of them are under the age of 15. There is a ethnic mix of indigenous tribes, Asian, African, French, Spanish, and a sizeable number of Americans. A company like Glacier Bank understands that anything that happens here can affect the economy in various ways. For example, when a natural disaster hits this region the resources decline and when you think about the petroleum and natural gas resource this can be a huge hike in our prices as well as bankrupt the Kava people. Glacier Bank is not only worried about their money, they are worried about the people of this region. Since Glacier Bank prides itself on being part of the community and doing things to improve other regions, they feel that they should help the Kava people become more disaster ready.
Plan Formulation
Glacier Bank understands that greed is not an emotion that they want to represent the company. I was sent here to formulate a plan that is going to help the people of Kava but also increase our presence. I feel that one of the main issues on this island is the disaster. My recommendations would be to help rebuild Kava so the homes and businesses can stand up more to the terrible elements that affect this region.
