I have chosen to look at Cheadle College and Tesco for my businesses. October 2004 the college changed its name to CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College.It was the largest further education college in the country in 2004, with around 9001 students. In 2011, the college commenced a consolidation of the two sites in Marple, entering into talks with Asda, aiming to sell the Hibbert Lane campus, leaving just the Buxton Lane campus in use. My businesses may also have heard of organisations being restricted. This is when an organisation has looked at the employees working for it and has decided that rather than recruiting someone into the same job, they will redivide the work in the originations.

Tesco and the college may decide to have a look at how productive their business is and the employees. This means how much work an employee is producing per person. The organisation may decide that some people have capacity to do extra work so they do not need recruit someone else to cover the person leaving. Businesses like Tesco need to be careful of how they are spending their money, therefore they will be looking to save money in this department of their company.
