I must say that this was a very exciting/ learning experience and I am very happy that I attended. When I walked in the intense decorations and the crowded ballroom surprised me. All types of people from different areas that were there to see the show surrounded me. There were people there from all types of racial and sexual backgrounds. The environment was not just strictly for homosexuals but instead they warmly welcomed everyone. It was an overall good time and I would love to attend the show again just for the outstanding entertainment. I never thought I would attend an event like that but I must say I had a great time.
I feel that people should not discriminate against others who are not the same as them. Everyone should be open to new experiences. Taking risk is important when leaving out of your comfort zone. A lot of people are scared to take those risks because of what others might think of them. Personally, other peoples opinions are not valuable to me and I don’t let them effect what I do or want to do. The drag show was amazing and was an event that should have not been missed. Just because you are not the same as the people certain environments does not mean that you should judge or criticize their personal morals and behaviors. Homosexuality can be genetically created upon someone and it can also be a personal choice. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion but I don’t think it should be announced disrespectfully. I feel that every individual is unique and has their own aspect that they can contribute to the world. I don’t feel that people should be put down or damage their self-esteem just because it may not be socially acceptable.
