Critical thinking includes clarity, accuracy, consistency, relevance, and fairness. It is the process of actively and skillfully applying, analyzing, or evaluating information gathered from, observation, experience or communication, to reach an answer or conclusion. Critical thinking is self-guided, self-disciplined thinking to attempt to reason. People who think critically consistently attempt to live rationally and reasonably. Step five is synthesis, and that involves being able to put together all the parts you analyzed with other information to create something original. Lastly step six is evaluation, which happens when you have analyzed and understand what is written or said and the reasons that were given to support it. Then you will be able to use this information and decide to believe to not and if you should take any further action.
A definition of ethics would be a system containing moral principles. Ethics also rules of our actions as individuals, groups, or culture and more. Ethics deals with values relating our conduct, in right or wrong formation of certain actions and to see what is good or bad in based on those actions. Person ethics sometimes affects my personal decision making. It effects when I have to say no or turn someone away when they cannot afford something they need. I work in a pharmaceutical environment, and I know that medication is a necessity for life for most people. Working for cooperation's mostly money is their main objective. I understand that because without it I wouldn't have a job or income. However, I feel it wrong I know a sick patient can’t afford their medication. Being that I feel that way I feel inclined to help, even though I know it’s not my companies fault. So at times if I can afford it I will pay for someone’s medication at my expense.
As a result, critical thinking and ethics both are imperative to have and live by to use in a professional or non-professional aspect. In my theory ethics and critical thinking work together. I feel that utilizing critical thinking enables you to question and analyze and ethics allows you to make a conscious decision factoring in what is right or wrong also.
