Creationism Essay

1514 words - 7 pages

“Creationism, as told in genesis is the better theory of explaining human life than evolution”.
Today I am here to defend my Christian position on the creation of life in opposition to evolutionary scientific theory. I will like to begin by explaining that As a Christian we are compelled by faith by the exterior force that created life. We refer to this force as God and his son Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior. We rebuke scientific evolutionary theory fabricated by man. For us Christians we seek for the truth in the word of God, which is the Bible, and the ultimate source of truth and knowledge.
The opening statement of the book of Genesis 1:1 reads as follow ” In the Beginning ...view middle of the document...

As Jeffrey Schwartz a current leading evolutionist has recently acknowledge that “… it was and still is the case that, with the exception of Dobzhansk’s claim about new species of fruit fly, the formation of a new species, by any mechanism, has never been observed”. Since if this were a real procedure there would be much unpredictable form that we could observe. What we see instead is a group of distinct kind of organism with many varieties within each kind but with very strong and evidently distinction between the kind” (Morris) we have to acknowledge that facts do not speak but rather they have been interpreted through preexisting framework. Since science has a structure of theoretical ideas that only natural laws and forces operate in the world it is needs to have a realistic explanation of all thing and being, including the origin .The only kind of thing that science can study is nature. If there is a supernatural origin of anything science cannot study and therefore it is by definition a rejection for consideration. If science cannot be proved we are not suppose to believe it. Also, when we say evolution is science we are not really defending science in a true sense of what it means since science it is experimental, demonstrable and understanding about the things in the true world.” Actually, these negative evidences against evolution are, at the same time, strong positive evidences for special creation. They are in fact, specific prediction based on the creation model of origins” (Morris).
Natural selection Theory I would argue that it constructed with contradictory ideologies, and to a certain extent support the biblical arguments of creation. In the article “Clarifying Christianity “authors offer a convincing argument, which state, For example, “ The astronomer (astrophysics) Hugh Ross offers an identical structure of creation as it is found in Genesis chapter 1 (Clarifying Christianity).
1. First the Creation of the physical universe (space, time, matter, energy, galaxies, stars, planets, etc.)
2. The Transformation of the earth’s atmosphere from opaque to translucent.
3.Also the Formation of a stable water cycle.
4. The Establishment of continent(s) and ocean(s).
5. The Production of plants on the continent(s).
6. And the Transformation of the atmosphere from translucent to transparent (Sun, Moon, and stars become visible).
7. The Production of small sea animals.
8. The Creation of sea mammals and birds.
9. And finally the Creation of mankind.” (Clarifying Christianity).
This listing emphasized that science acknowledges the bible progression of creation.
`The Lord tells us in Genesis 1: 26-27, that we are made in his image. He does not refer to himself as an animal. We are human beings and entirely unique kind. The Lords refers to himself as a man, we see the physical form of God in his son Jesus Christ, the lord and his infinite form of intelligence and perfection is the true creator (King).
