There are many similarities and differences to living in the city verses living in the country. However, living in the country is most definitely the better choice of the two due to the cost, environment, and work ethic.
Living in the country in reference to the cost of living, is inexpensive compared to living in the country. If a person lived in the city they would have to pay for water, food is more expensive in the city, and housing is up there in price, and gas prices / services such as transportation. In the country it may take twenty minutes to get to the store and in the story it may take twenty minutes to go a mile down the road because of an excessive amount of vehicle on the road at one time. The country only has cows and their life is peaceful with no stress and the city has the general public’s waste and is constantly full of aggravation.
Next, Country life and city life’s work ethic. In both the country and the city, however how country people and city people work is different. Living in the city does have its advantages over living in the country but, country life is still above living in the city. Living in the city everything is closer to home whereas living in the city there is about a twenty minute differences to get to work. Living in the country they do not necessarily need an education because of the limited backward infrastructure and manpower. Employees of a company work inside on a machine and farmers work outside harvesting. The country has small markets so they do not need all of the extra money like people living in the city need for their big markets. An advantage the country has is instead of using their money they can just trade other farmers for their things. For example, if one farmer needs potatoes and another needs broccoli they can just trade products. IN the city that is not an option so they need that extra money to buy their food for their families.
In conclusion, Country life towers over the city life. Country life does not need that unnecessary money for the high cost in products, housing bills, services or water. The country life is fresh, peaceful and quiet. They do not have the air pollution, noisy car horns, or stressful days. Their days to work and at work are stress-free and calm.
