I. Worldview is described as “a particular philosophy of life or conception of the world” (Oxford). To me, it means understanding and knowing the way another culture lived and lives. It means finding out the way the view things and the way they perceive things versus the way I perceive things.
II. When it comes to the question of Origin many people are left wondering where we came from and what kind of support do we have for any answers that may be given? Well, Isaiah 45:18 says “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is no one else”. Isiah 45:12 even says that God created man.
Identity is raised as another question that many have. Where did we get our identity and how was this decided? Although many scientific ...view middle of the document...
So often people ask themselves what the point in life is. Some look to the bible to find answers and they read quotes such as Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…” Others may believe that we are here to bring glory to God to those who do not know Him. Isaiah 43:7 “Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”.
The question of morality. Although the Bible doesn’t say anything direct about morals, it does say many things that apply to morals. Romans 13:8-10 says “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.” Galatians 3:28 says “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Both of these scriptures tell us to love one another, have good morals, and practice them often.
Lastly, we look at destiny. The Bible says many things about what the end will be like. The end of our lives is mentioned rarely in the Bible, but after gaining a good understanding of the Bible we can easily learn what we are destined to do. Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”. Psalms 37:37, “Mark the perfect [man], and behold the upright: for the end of [that] man [is] peace”. Both of these quotes discuss the end and what is destined to happen.
III. Biblical worldviews would influence the way one treats others in a very positive manner. If everyone kept this in mind then we would all be treated much better and share a greater respect. In voting, people would most likely vote for whoever it is that will probably be less war-like and for whoever promotes a greater cause. God created everything. One should treat and interact with non human creations and the environment with more respect because God created all things. We would also choose a career that not only brings happiness to ourselves, but one that also provide a great benefit to others.
