7 Simple Steps for the M7 Assignment
The Worldview Essay
Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to develop and complete the assignment from Module 1. You will be writing again about your personal worldview. Now that you are a worldview expert, this should be a piece of cake, especially if you follow the directions below.
Step #1 – Read, Read, Read!
a) Read the Module 7 lecture (CLASSROOM>>CANYON CONNECT>>Module 7 Readings)
b) Read chapters 12, 13 and 15 from the textbook
c) Read the following Bible passages: Matthew 5:43-47, Luke 6:31.

d) Create a paragraph for each component box. Write the topic sentence as the first sentence and place all of the information under your supporting points (thoughts, experiences, life decisions) under your topic sentence. When finished you should have three separate paragraphs, each with its own topic sentence. This is the body of your paper.
e) Put the information from your conclusion in another paragraph.
f) Adapt the title page so that it fits this assignment.
g) Eliminate the reference page because you will not be using any outside sources for this assignment (Note: Outside sources are not required; however, if you do use outside sources then you must cite and reference them using the GCU Style format.)
Step #4 – Revising the Body of Your Essay
a) You should have three paragraphs in the body of your essay (see step #3 above). One for each of your three components.
b) Add transitional sentences to connect each of your paragraphs in order to help your essay flow nicely. For example, if God is your first component and ethics is your second, you might write something like this to start your paragraph about ethics:
While God is the key component in my personal worldview, the ethical teachings I learned from my parents have also influenced who I am today.
c) Also, within each paragraph, add transitional phrases or sentences between your supporting points. For example, you might write something like this:
Since my thoughts and experiences have been influenced by my ethical values, my life decisions also clearly demonstrate these ethical views.
