I. Part One: What is a worldview?
A worldview is the way a person views life. It goes way beyond how we view life around us though. It is our perspective on all things that exist in this world. How we determine our decisions we make on a daily basis. (Weider & Gutierrez, 2013)
II. Part Two
1. The question of Origin –
I believe that God created this earth that we live on because as it says in Genesis 1:1(Genesis, 1:1, NIV) God created the Heavens and earth. Everything that we look at around this beautiful planet it is Gods amazing power. The oceans, lakes and rivers we view were created my God. (Genesis, 1:6-7, NIV) All the beautiful plants, flowers, trees and shrubs were also created by our ...view middle of the document...
The question of Meaning/Purpose –
I believe that our purpose for being on earth is to have a relationship with God and to spread the Word of God to those that do not know Him. God wants us to live a life that would honor him and not to live a life of this world. (Romans, 12:2, NIV) Also I know that if we love God with all our heart, soul and mind we will live a happy and successful life. (Romans, 8:28, NIV)
4. The question of Morality –
I believe that if we follow what the Bible says about what is right or wrong and good or bad we should live a good life. We should love God and Him alone. We are not to love things of this world. (Matthew, 22:37-40, NIV) If we follow what the Ten Commandments say I think we will be okay. If we conform to ways of this world then we will not have a place in Heaven (Galatians, 5:19-21, NIV)
5. The question of Destiny –
I believe that if you a believer of Jesus Christ you will have eternal life. (John, 3:16, NIV) I know that there is life after this earth because the Bible says so. God has plans for us beyond planet earth. (Psalms, 37:37, NIV)
III. Part Three
1. I should treat everybody that I speak to on a daily basis the same way I would want to be treated. I should treat them with respect and honesty. God has told us to do to others and we would be wanted done to us. (Matthew, 7:12, NIV)
2. I should treat the environment as if it were my own. One example would be is do not litter. Littering looks tacky and God doesn’t want us to dirty his beautiful creation. I should treat animals with gentleness and kindness. They have feelings just as we do. Respect means everything whether it’s a human, environment, or animals. We should do as God would.
