When Is Discipline, Child Abuse?
Many people have noticed that parents are starting to get more frustrated with with their lives and are taking it out on their children. Parents start to under think their actions and instead of disciplining their children, they are abusing their children. There are many precautions that should be taken when dealing with situations like these. Many experiments can be done in order to determine if abuse is taking place in the home. In order to determine child abuse, authorities usually look for bruises or broken bones in bad families but child abuse is determined by factors that are sometimes unknown.

While sometimes CPS and foster care may seem like they are helping children, they may be doing much more harm than expected.
Discipline is defined by internet dictionaries as “the practice of training people to obey the rules or code of behavior using punishment to correct disobedience.” Most people believe that spanking is abuse itself. That is just determined on the child’s age, knowledge and size. If a child is in no way or form capable of knowing better, there is no reason why physical actions should be taking place. Discipline is usually used by the parents out of love to show their children that they want them to recognize what is right and what is wrong. In order to be able to discipline a child correctly a parent or guardian needs to have the patience for the wrong doing. No parent should hit their kids out of anger. Statistics show that depending on the parents outside life determines their patience for certain situations. If parents are having trouble in the work place and they come home to children running around, breaking things, not behaving, they are bound to get easily frustrated. Once they have reached their limit of frustration, they explode and begin to take their frustration out on their children. Depending on how the far they take their frustration may lead to abuse. Now this is not the only way that parents can lead to abusing their children. Some cases might be that the parent was too abused as a child and doesn't know of any other way to correct their children without abusing them. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the parent is a bad person, sometimes parents are struggling with mental issues. Even though it is true that most children whom are abused are more likely to repeat the cycle as adults, many adults whom were abused as children feel the need to protect their children from what they went through.
There are many different types of child abuse. Whether its constant beating, saying negative things, telling their children that they are worthless, yelling, ignoring their children, no physical contact or exposing the child to other types of abuse. The most common type of abuse is child neglect which is failing to provide for a child’s basic needs, such as food, clothing, hygiene or supervision. HELPGUIDE.ORG states that sexual abuse is known to be the most hidden type of abuse there is. The reason that sexual abuse tends to be hidden is because of the fact that the abused person is ashamed of and guilty of the abuse because they sometimes feel that it was their fault. The sexual abuse doesn’t necessarily need to contain body contact, verbal sexual abuse also scars individuals. (HELPGUIDE.ORG)
