The Life of Two Sports
Track and field and football are both sports that are very similar yet different in many ways. The time of the year is one of the many differences between the two sports. The approach, the rules and regulations, and equipment are some of the other differences about the two. Some similarities between them are that they both are sports that require specific training, and hard work to be successful in both. The seasons are technically different, but the weather they bare feels the same.

Itâ€™s a sport that tests stamina and mental stability. The events vary which makes track and field a sport thatâ€™s made for almost everybody. One can sprint, run long distance, or do field events. The training one has for each event for track makes it a unique sport. Equipment differs from football because it depends on the event. If the athlete is a sprinter all they need is a set of spikes. If they a long distance runner all they would need is a pair of running shoes. For the field events the materials needed are provided for the athlete by the team. The equipment and training are different from football.
The rules for football differ from track in a lot of ways. In football, no one can have head to head contact because itâ€™s a safety issue. The athlete canâ€™t hold when theyâ€™re on offense, and when on defense they canâ€™t hit a person just to hurt them. The rules to football are preventing injuries to make sure the game is played as safe as possible, and fair.
